What Our Customers Say

This is a very good 10 foot extension cable. Both connectors are stamped connectors which is UL listed. The wire is also UL approved 10 gauge/ 6mm conductor which is smoke and halogen free. It is important to get good connectors because these are often in locations not easily accessible. You want to install and forget. Cheap connectors have a habit of failing years down the road. These connectors have the cover over the locking tabs. That requires you to have a PV tool to disconnect the cable. That cover does make them less prone to come apart unexpectedly. This cable has all the things you look for in a reliable solar installation.

UL Listed Wire And Connectors

Great little module. Some of these fuse modules out there use fuses that look like diodes, and they're not as easy to replace as this module which uses standard fuse sizes. Nice MC4 connectors, all very standard, tight weather seal. So far, so good. Installed on my 600 Watt system with individual 100 Watt panels combined in pairs, perfect setup.

Easy Protection, At The Source, Using Standard Fuses, Where It Counts

My 12 gauge version has 4mm^2 markings on the wire, which is the
correct cross sectional area for that wire gauge. Both the wire and
connectors are tinned copper. The wire jacket is a bit stiff, but that's fine
for this application. Crimps are also neatly done. Overall a well
constructed Y connector.

Solid Construction, 4mm ^2 Wire

These T connectors are very handy, although I often use them in a manner different from most others. I insert these connectors at the point between the cables running to the solar generator and the cables coming from the solar panels. That way, I can readily check the voltage of the panels without having to disconnect the final pair of MC4 connectors. This is a big plus for me since I often arrange and rearrange the panel connections between parallel and series connection testing portable panels. A final check of voltage is just a good idea before plugging them into any solar generator. These are very heavy duty plastic construction and should last for many years. No problems despite dozens and dozens of connections and separations.

Heavy Duty

I needed a red solar cable urgently for my project, so i called their
customer service hoping to get the wire fast. the person picked up the
phone was very nice and expedited the wire to be shipped on a
Saturday. This solar cable is as described on the website - made with
copper and halogen-free coating. The double insulation layers are thick.
Highly recommend them especially if you need it quick.
